The refugees have suffered an appalling fate. — Судьба беженцев была ужасающей. Не felt it was his destiny to become famous. — Он ощущал, что ему суждено прославиться./Он предвидел что станет знаменитым. We know we are in control of our own destiny. — Мы знаем, что можем вершить свои собственные судьбы. b) судьба; сверхъестественные силы, определяющие жизнь человека: We don't know what destiny has planned for us. — Мы не знаем, что нам уготовила судьба.
